Huge success for the Greek team in the World Baking Competition ‘THE iba CUP OF BAKERS 2023’ in Munich

On October 22-24, 2023, the World Baking Competition "THE iba CUP OF BAKERS 2023" was held at the premises of the leading global exhibition for the bread and pastry industry, in Munich, Germany, where the best bakers from 12 countries of the world took part.
The Greek National Team, which participated for the first time in a competition of such scope and was represented by the succesful bakers in the field, Haris Papalitsas and Dimitris Fragogiannis, excelled by taking 5th place in the world ranking! Contestants presented sweet and savory bakery creations that impressed the judges.

"Participating in such a large world-class competition, alongside renowned industry professionals, was a unique experience and a huge honor for us. We are proud of winning the 5th place, which came through hard effort and many trainings", are some of the statements of Dimitris Fragogiannis and Haris Papalitsas.

It is worth noting that Loulis Mills supported the participation of the Greek National Team throughout the preparation, while the training was undertaken by the French Chef Boulanger Stephane Ollivier, from the French school Ecole Ritz Escoffier of the legendary Ritz Paris hotel.
